The African Heart Beats Health & Wellness Village brings together several community health organizations to provide valuable health education and promotion to our diverse Black communities at Afrofest and Jambana, two culural festivals attracting tens of thousands of guests.
Afrofest takes place on July 10 -11 at Queen's Park and Jambana takes place on the grounds of Downsview Park on Monday August 2, 2010. Both events are family oriented and free.

The Black Health Challenge is coming to the end of its first test cycle.
The Black Health Alliance, TAIBU Community Centre and our partners are pleased to announce the first component of the Black Health Project to be offered in the community - the Black Health Challenge.

The goal of the Black Health Challenge is to help members of the Black community lead healthier, happier lives by increaseing their nutriton knowledge, engaging in creative physical activity, and applying stress management techniques.
To register for the Black Health Challenge email blackhealth2010@gmail.com, or call 416-644-3539 x 225 provide your name, telephone and email, along with the community site - Jane and Finch, or Malvern, in which you are registering for and you will be contacted to be provided with further program details.
